This Programme involves several European partner Universities and is open to applicants from non-EU countries.

The partner universities:

Roehampton University (RU) is State funded and is one of the oldest higher education institutions in England dating back to 1841. Roehampton University was one of the first institutions to introduce a full BA in Translation with Interpreting in the UK. The main area of expertise is in the field of Audiovisual Translation and a new MA in Audiovisual and Specialised Translation was launched in September 2005.

Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain was founded in 1968, and the faculty of Transaltion and Intrerpreting is one one of the first centres to train translators and interpreters in Spain, with a long history of transnational cooperation in European projects. It is one of the few faculties in Spain to have excellent quality of its doctoral courses accredited by the National Quality Assurance Agency.

Hoger Instituut voor Vertalers en Tolken, Hogeschool, Antwerp (HIVT), Belgium was the first academic department of translation and interpreting in Belgium with a 4 year curriculum and also the first to become a member of the prestigous international association CIUTI (the Confèrence Internationale et Permanente d’ Institutus Universitaries de Traducteurs et d’ Interprètes) in 1967. One of HIVT assets is the broad spectrum of language it offers.

Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (IPL), Portugal. Translation was first introduced in 1982 as part of the ESTG-Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, a school of technology and management and is known in Portugal for its expertise in the education of translators particularly in the field of specialised and audiovisual translation.

This is principally a forum for announcing scholarships. Eligible people who qualify get funding for their studies.

Ooooh, this is a great programme, but as far as I see it has been canceled? Am I too late or will it reopen? I'd appreciate any information if anyone reads this and knows something!
