Dear Translators,

My name is Eleonora and I am a Master’s student in Modern Languages for International Communication and Cooperation at the University of Padua (Italy). For my dissertation work, I developed an anonymous survey (see link below) which investigates professional translators’ use of and opinions about MT engines and CAT tools, with a special focus on legal translation. Dear Translators,

My name is Eleonora and I am a Master’s student in Modern Languages for International Communication and Cooperation at the University of Padua (Italy). For my dissertation work, I developed an anonymous survey (see link below) which investigates professional translators’ use of and opinions about MT engines and CAT tools, with a special focus on legal translation. For this reason, the survey is intended for professional translators only.
Completing the survey takes no longer than 15 minutes and would provide important insights into the main strengths and weaknesses of translation software tools and their use by professionals. The data collected will be analysed anonymously and will be used for academic purposes only.

Yes, I shared this post with a brief introduction to the survey so that people would know what it is about. I am working on a research thesis and I thought to share it here as it requires the participation of professional translators. However, as participation is voluntary, everyone can then decide to take part or not.
