What can I make from Polish (which is similar to Ukraine, only the alphabet is Latin), "szyjki rakowe" should mean "crayfish tails". "Rak" also means "cancer" and "szyjka" can be translated as "cervix", only not in this context, obviously:) The translator (or should we sat Google) just took the first translated pair of words available et voila!

Yes, this was reported in the Indian press too.

Probably this was done by a native translator who had become so out of touch with his mother tongue that he couldn't distinguish between a fish and a fatal disease.

Or, it was done by a Polish translator whose belonged to the category of the American kid who spoke 26 languages fluently. Probably he learned English in a crash course of two weeks.

Whichever of the above is the case, it once again proves that translation is a professional activity best left to trained translators, who are proficient in the target language and who also know the source language well.
