Is this possible?

If yes, does this automatically create a TM to be used for new translations?

Thanks in advance.

Grace.

Aligning in Wordfast Mar 1, 2003

Hi Graciela,

You need PlusTools to align in Wordfast. It\'s freeware you can download at http://www.champollion.net/. Read the PlusTools manual before starting. Aligning isn\'t easy in any CAT-tool.

Regards,

Gerard

Hello Grace,

yes it is: just go to the champollion.net website and download PlusTools! There is also a very good manual included, this will get you going.

Use PlusTools Mar 1, 2003

Like Wordfast, the software is written by Yves Champollion. Just go to http://www.champollion.net/ and click on the tab +tools. After downloading read the PlusTools.doc - and you\'ll see.

Yes, it's possible with +Tools Mar 1, 2003

+Tools is a freeware utility by Yves Champollion, the developer of Wordfast.

The aligning workflow is described in +Tools\' manual (included in +Tools\' download) - www.champollion.net

It is possible for Wordfast to use translation memories created in Wordfast, Trados, IBM translation manager.

You can align former texts with PlusTools, a companion program to Wordfast.

You can import word lists created in Word, Excel, or text files.

You will find the programs and manuals in ProZ Cat tools or in this page:

Thanks Carlos. Glad you like the page.

For Grace. Actually, if you have to fiddle arround with TMs, I would suggest you learn a little bit about how a wordfast TM works, and what it is made of.

When you know some about the cog and wheels (very easy in fact) you will get a lot more out of your CAT, and it will be a lot easier to do stuff.
