Hello everyone

TikTok is awash with people telling you how to remove ChatGPT watermarks. According to the videos, ChatGPT inserts invisible characters such as no-break spaces and zero-width spaces in random places. Some videos state that the watermarking only applies to certain engines. These videos often link to the character viewer soscisurvey.de/tools/view-chairs.php (now also available on GitHub).

Have any of you seen these watermarks? Is this a real thing? ChatGPT itself claims that it does not use watermarking, but the answer that ChatGPT gave me refers to lexicon-based watermarking systems.

It feels like it would be unlikely since it would be relatively straight-forward to include a watermark remover to any AI tool.
