Ha esetleg most vagy valamikor arra a fajta kipörgésre kell szó, amikor a vezető a gumi melegítése céljából pörgeti a kereket, akkor itt van ez; ilyenkor nem a spint használják. A kifejezés onnan ered, hogy a gumi felmelegszik, és égett szaga lesz.

"Az unalmas ABS mellé újabb rövidítéseket tanultam: EBD, mint elektronikus fékerőelosztó (Electronic Brake force Distribution), valamint utánanéztem a kipörgésgátló rövidítésének is: Anti Spin Regulation. Mindezt a Skodán az ESP feliratú gomb kapcsolja - ??? Szó se róla, a két rendszer valóban szépen regulázta a kerekeket (a működést a műszerfalon visszajelző tudatja az ólomlábúval)."

Itt éppen "acceleration slip" szerepel a változatosság kedvéért:
"ASR: Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) is the traction control system that keeps the drive wheels from spinning in snow, ice or under rapid acceleration. The system automatically cuts back engine power and/or applies the brakes to prevent wheel slippage. If a fault develops, the ASR or "Trac" light on the dash will remain illuminated, but the car is otherwise still operable. "

: Ha a kocsi maga megpördül - spin. Wheel spinre a spint önmagában akkor használják, amikor a szöveg már nyilvánvalóvá tette, hogy wheel spinről beszélnek, nem más spinről.

Teljesen igazad van a "kerék kipörgés" illetve "kipörgés" analógiájára utalva. A kocsi vízszintes tengely körüli elfordulására is használják, pl. a skiddel együtt.
