The green part Feb 22

Tomatoes are botanically fruits. Jasmine tea is your green! How far apart is your green tea and your coffee?

This morning I only had a light breakfast, half a cup of cashew vegan yogurt with some cherries.

Old fashioned Feb 22

I'm an old fashioned guy. I eat meat every-day. I've saved enough money to eat in this freak's restaurant.

Eating meat doesn’t prevent you from eating veggies.

Offtopic, but it amazes me how this guy has managed to become a culinary reference for the rich. What are his skills, apart from behaving like an idiot and "inventing" something ridiculous like a gold-covered steak ? I like to believe he serves delicious steaks, but there's not much skill involved in that, besides using quality meat, knowing precisely how long your steak should be cooked and letting it rest long enough.

Except Feb 22

Except... there are millions of people around the world who seem to cope just fine without doing so.

I don't think a green vegetable has passed my mother-out-of-law's lips for over 50 years.

I do wonder how that's possible. She mainly subsists on gin.

How can you even think of cooking and eating that so early in the morning!

I attack the fruit and veg later in the day, in this season often vegetable soup of some kind.

I love cooking and as my last meal of the day is very light (a bowl of soup or a yoghurt with fruit and granola), I always wake up hungry and looking forward to my breakfast...

This kind of breakfast Feb 22

Before at least 10-11 am will put me right back to sleep even with an espresso:-) That's what I do when I wake up at some obscenely early hour, not rested enough on a day when I would be hoping to catch as much sleep as possible, compensating for the last 3-4 weeks - I'd fix something small but substantial, like a sandwich. Best sleeping pill ever between 4 and 5 am.

Indeed, we are all different

Vegetarian Feb 22

I have been a vegetarian for 14 years now, so of course I do have greens and veggies daily :'D

Also, since about 1 year, I changed and think really improved my eating habits.
In Italy, where I live, it is quite common to have carb-heavy dishes (pasta ^^) for lunch, but, as the years went by, I realized that was making me more and more sleepy in the afternoon, to the point where it was extremely hard to work for a few hours.
Now I am only eating raw fruits and vegetables

Now I am only eating raw fruits and vegetables for lunch, with a substantial breakfast in the morning and whatever I like for dinner. Not only I'm no longer sleepy, but I have also lost ~10 kg.

One of the best choices I ever made. If you are sleepy after lunch, definitely give it a try!

It's risen to 72% now. Maybe there was an early rush of responders munching on McBreakfasts.

Don't overdo the bad carbohydrates = bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, which are converted into sugar by your digestive system and will make you FAT if you stuff yourself with them to get that gratifying warm "comfort food" feeling.

But we do need some of the good carboydrates that we get from vegetables.

For all the moaning about "trivial" polls, they always attract far more interest than "serious" ones.

Arguably, diet is more important than anything else we could talk about anyway.

Hear, hear! Feb 22

Actually, we have an "off-top" option to unwind and share our morning bathroom and veggie priorities while saving polls for at least keeping up appearances of a somewhat professional site and its professional site users.

The problem with serious ones is that they are poorly thought through, barely relevant, at times poorly worded, and truly uninteresting, borderline senseless. I'm sure that "serious" serious polls would attract a lot of attention, if formulated by true professionals for other professionals or simply well-read and educated people. Just no more dead AI horse please.
