I have some lists (columns) of file names (of files on my hard drive) that I want to turn into hyperlinks. E.g. filename1.txt becomes a hyperlink with address file:///C:\foldername\filename1.txt, and filename2.txt becomes a hyperlink with address file:///C:\foldername\filename2.txt, etc.

I know that I can do this, of course, via the Insert menu, but as these are rather long lists, I am looking for a macro to do this.
Does anybody know of a way to do this 'in an orderly manner'?
Wow, Henrik, that is very efficient indeed! And very easy to adapt. (And yet another advantage: no nagging MS Office security windows asking for confirmation;-)
Thank you!
Thank you too, Hynek. Adding it to my macro collection.
