DVD term differences between SC and TC Téma indítója: Li-chuan Yen

I\'m now translating a DVD authoring software and have been asked to convert the final Traditional Chinese translation into Simplified Chinese. The client needs two versions. Can anyone offer a term list/website showing the differences between the two?

Li-chuan,
I have been looking for such a resource for long time, and have not yet found one. I did collect quite a few terms and wrote them down in my note book or on the margins of my dictionaries. I do have a wish to put them out someday that everyone can share. As you can see, it is a project that one person cannot complete. Perhaps all the translators can work together on this project. I guess for now the best thing you can do is to use Kudos, or work with someone in the mainland China to get your question answered. The following online dictionaries can also be used for your reference: http://sunrain.net/index_c.shtml http://www.tigernt.com/dict.shtml http://www.mandarintools.com/
Good luck!

I think there is one more decision of the problem. You can extract a lot of valuable terms from the existing instructions of DVD devices and software. I believe there is a lot of such documents in the Net, both in Traditional and Simplified Chinese. So you can look up terms going to the Chinese web-sites of major hi-tech companies.
Best luck! | |

Please bookmark this site:

This is what I would like to see. It seems trying to cater the readers and users from both mainland China and Taiwan.
Enjoy!
