Paris 2024 Olympics: Subtitle Post-Editors (Your Language to English)

Andovar is seeking subtitle post-editors to collaborate on a project involving the post-editing of athlete interviews at Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Most of the topics will be about the sports in the competitions. The games will take place from July 26 to August 11, and post-editors can anticipate receiving regular/daily assignments throughout the duration of the games.

Assignment Details:
Length of audio: length of each video varies from 2-5 minutes
Project duration: July 26, 2024, to August 11, 2024
Assignment turnaround time: As this is a live event, a quick turnaround is expected; in general, you will have around one hour after assignment.

Scope:
• Post-edit AI-generated subtitles in VTT format, or
• If the quality of the AI-generated subtitles is substandard, create a VTT file from a reference video and translate it into English.

Requirements:
• Be a native speaker of the source or target language
• Possess professional post-editing and/or translation experience, particularly for the required language pair
• Demonstrate a strong interest in sports and the Olympic Games, and familiarity with slang
• Work must be performed using subtitling software of your choice. Deliverables are VTT files.
• Our client will approve a pool of linguists based on the experience provided and/or test result.
