I have an MA in American studies and Literature from Iraq and MA in British and Commonwealth Literature from the University of Nottingham in the UK. Originally I received my degree in English language, Literature and Translation from Baghdad Iraq in 2004. I worked as a freelance interpreter and translator for 2 years before I was employed as an official interpreter and translator in the Culture and Heritage sectors. I provided over 1000 hours interpreting for NGO, UN and government delegations visiting Iraq for cultural, sport events and archeological excavation projects. I worked in the UK within the health sector (NHS) as an interpreter and translator offering service of hours of English-Arabic, Arabic -English, English-Kurdish and Kurdish- English interpreting between patients and health providers with full adherence to code of confidentiality and safeguarding policies. I have two book translations one published by the Iraqi government written by the Cambridge university based Archeologist and Assyriologist John MacGinnis titles "ERBIL IN THE CUNEIFORM SOURCES". I also have finished a translation of a biographical book which is in process of being published in the United States soon. |
