Dear Sir/Madam,
Before I moved to the Netherlands in December 2009 to live and marry my Dutch partner, my last job was Business Travel Coordinator with UniCredit Bulbank - the biggest bank in Bulgaria. This position gave me the opportunity to further develop my organizational skills while plunged in conditions of deadlines and competition. This is crucial due to the large personnel team – approximately 4000 employees. In general, I had to arrange and administrate between 60 and 100 business trips abroad per month. This work also helped me master my communication skills by giving me the opportunity to interact with different people and various companies - air companies, hotel chains, insurance companies, and other organizations.
I also had a very challenging and rewarding experience with an international gold mining company working as an Administrative Coordinator there for almost a year. This was the position that gave me the confidence that I can function as a multi-task coordinator 24/7, organizing, scheduling and supervising the accommodation, business trips, holidays, health insurances, visits to doctors and hospitals of 60 expats in the company and also coordinating the relation between all the departments in the company. Last but not least, I also assisted the General Manager of the company with translation from/to English and to/from Bulgarian, scheduling his agenda, taking care of the weekly Management meetings and the agenda of the foreign visitors to the company.
I also worked as a freelance sworn translator from/to English and to/from Bulgarian for 5 years (2001 - 2006) for Copsis Assist Translation Agency in Bulgaria.
During my work as an English teacher for the French Language School, Sofia, I was also the country coordinator of the Pan-European Educational Project, comprising 13 secondary schools from different European countries. I was responsible for applying for financing at the European Union Commission - Youth - Education & Culture, for the budgeting, planning, travel arrangements and accommodation during the educational school exchanges between these schools when the events took place in Bulgaria. I believe that this position also played a crucial role in my character building, my orientation towards teamwork and gaining experience of working in multicultural and multinational environment. |
