Hello!
I was translating a medical report and, in the paragraph dedicated to the catheterisation of the heart, after describing the left main coronary artery and the left ascending coronary artery, before moving to the circumflex one there is a part that is unclear. The whole sentence is "Gran campo distal". I literally can't give more context, that's the whole sentence, before it and after it it moves to the description of other arteries.
This report comes from Catalonia, Spain, if that helps.
Thank you!

large downstream territory
The "campo distal" of an artery is the territory perfused by this artery.
I haven't found any occurrences of "gran campo distal" (other than your query) on the web and would therefore suggest a literal rendering as "large" or "extensive". The intended meaning may be that the vessel is wide enough to supply blood to all of its downstream territory, or else, that the anatomy is such that the vessel supports a relatively large portion of the heart.

Is "downstream" a synonym of perfusion – no, it is pretty much a synonym of "distal".

Note from asker:
Thank you for the explanation. Is "downstream" a synonym of perfusion then? |
Thank you for your answer too, it's been really helpful! |
Discussion
Here it is: "Tronco común derecho: de buen calibre sin lesiones. Descendente anterior: placa ostial no significativa del 40%. Gran campo distal. Circunfleja: de buen calibre. Lesión significativa del 60% en primera marginal, con buen campo distal. Coronaria derecha: oclusión aguda trombotica de CD proximal. no se visualiza campo distal."
That's the whole paragraph, where the term occurs thrice.
TIA.
