: Igen, a különbség az, hogy az entrepreneur nem szerepel olyan dokumentumokon, ahol a cég jogi formáját kell megjelölni. Az entrepreneur az valakinek a foglalkozása, a sole proprietorship pedig a cég (vállalkozás) jogi formája.

: In England, we don't use "entrepreneur" in ANY kind of "official" sense - it is merely to denote a peerson who does business and, usually, has certain ways of doing it...not always flattering.

In UK ENG, I would have said: Private operator, and for -ás, I would have said private enterprise .... but, as is so often the case, it depends a great deal on the context.

But opetators are usually machine operators, tour operators, freight operators, licenced operators... and of course smooth operators. ;-)
