Siniestralidad

Yo utilizaría "disaster ratio", pues me parece la más precisa y es la primera que me viene a la mente por ser la más amplia.

Back in elementary school they taught me the 16-to-1 disaster ratio. Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?

The flooding from Tropical Storm Allison revealed a lot of people didn't learn it. They failed to anticipate the worst.

disagree Paul Stevens : this is not insurance terminology

disagree Seth Phillips : Siniestralidad refers to the total number of claims or loss events.

Loss record or loss ratio

The definition depends on the context of the phrase, but is probably more commonly used to simply denote the "loss record" of an Assured.

I have nearly 20 years' experience in international insurance broking, the majority of which has been in Latin American or Spanish business.

Gross claims / Claims volume / number of accidents or claims

This is not the loss ratio but rather total number of claims or event losses.

Loss ratio would índice / coeficiente de siniestralidad or coeficiente de pérdidas as used in Spanish insurance speak.
