Hello everybody,

one ouf our external co-workers has installed Transit NXT but our company hasn't done that yet.

Now that co-worker asked us for instructions about how to export a TXF in Transit NXT.

Hello everybody,

one ouf our external co-workers has installed Transit NXT but our company hasn't done that yet.

Now that co-worker asked us for instructions about how to export a TXF in Transit NXT.

Another question he had is a little more complicated, but not as important as the first one:
He opened the document that had the original language and overwrote the text with the translated words. Of course in the translation, not every sentence has the same length, so sometimes there stay words in the original language at the end of the sentence. His question was:

Is there a shortcut to delete the remaining origin language text of a segment?

He said it takes too much time always marking the text and deleting it manually.
Of course it would also be interesting to have a general shortcut list for the program for problems in the future, if anybody of you can offer this.

I am looking forward to your answers!

No PXF\TXF but PPF and TPF in Transit NXT Feb 24, 2010

From the Manual:
Enter your translation and delete the old text.

Transit NXT also offers an alternative to this. By clicking on the arrow at the bottom of the Confirm button (via Translate | Processing) and selecting the Delete to end of segment option, you can specify whether the old text should be deleted automatically when the translation is confirmed. The option Delete to end of segment is selected by default. (Fig. 6-9).

The option Delete to end of segment is selected by default. (Fig. 6-9).
If this option is selected, when you click on Confirm or press the shortcut ALT+INS, Transit NXT will automatically delete the remaining, red-underlined source text from the segment.

If you want to deactivate this option, simply click the Delete to end of segment option.

For a complete list of the short cuts, download the manual from STAR website and go to "10.3 Keyboard shortcuts".

Open the side menu item "Technical Documentation"

Thanks and best regards
