Less than 1 week Jan 2

Usually 2/3 days between long projects. In over 30 years I have never been without work more than 5 days in a row (except for Covid where some months there was a marked decline in demand).

This year? Jan 2

This is a rather odd question to see on the 2nd of January...
Discounting yesterday's public holiday, I have just received my first major job, so one could say I haven't been without work at all so far.

It's 02 January. Kind of early to be asking that question, isn't it? Nearly all my clients are in Italy and nobody really does much work in Italy until after Epiphany (the night of 05 Jan), so I don't expect to receive any work until after 06 Jan.

2023 Jan 2

A week and a bit of a lull. Enough to get a wee bit scared, but luckily, it always picks up.

Remember, there is a lag from the suggestion of a poll until it is actually posted.
It's obvious she meant 2023.

In 2023, I may have occasionally gone for a week or two with little or no work coming in, but it wasn't a problem. I underwent a nephrectomy in September and during my recuperation was relieved not to be as busy as in previous years. October was particularly slow, but it suited me in the circumstances.

FYI all my clients are direct, not agencies, and some have even paid in advance for work that will gradually appear as 2024 sets in.

Sure! I think most of us were just joking. Still, why asking "so far" at the END of a year?

Unfortunate timing but we know what it's getting at Jan 2

I would guess that I was without work for about three months in total in 2023.

This is not the right day to post this forum. It should have been before the 31st December.

Happy New Year!

I was just informed this morning that a poll I must have suggested at least two years ago had been posted!
