Source text - Bengali "Hello. My name is ${q_1_2}. I represent Morsel Research. We are a survey agency hired by the Tata Centre for Development at University of Chicago Trust, based out of Delhi. We are conducting a 45-minute survey to collect information from truck drivers and transporter firms. This survey is being conducted as part of our project on GST and its impact on trade in India. You are being invited to participate in our survey. This interview will include questions about your driving experience, routes you drive and have driven over the last four years, and your experience in the sector and on the road. We will use this information to understand the policy-induced bottlenecks on the flow of goods in India.
Procedures: The interview will take about 45 minutes.
Risks and Benefits:
You will not receive any direct benefit from the interview, nor will you be penalized in any way for refusing. Your name or any other personal identifying information will never be published in any report and will never be shared with the government or your employers. When the results are published, they will be combined with information provided by hundreds of others and will be presented as summaries only.
Compensation:
To compensate you for your time, we will provide you Rs. 100 as one time compensation at the end of the survey.
