[lesions] equivalent to stenosis of the LMCA (left main coronary artery)
Hola Paul
Here, "tronco" refers to the "tronco común de la arteria coronaria izquierda", in English: "LMCA".
The LMCA gives origin to the LDA (left descending artery) and the RC (right coronary artery). To say that some patients had "enfermedad equivalente de tronco" means that these patients had lesions in both their LDA's and their RCA's, equivalent to have a lesion more proximally (i.e., at the LMCA).
HTH :-)

Anatomical error: Above, I should have written \"The LMCA gives origin to the LDA (left descending artery) and the **LCX (circumflex artery)**.\"
Sorry!
(My answer to your question, though, is not affected).
