German term

Ausgangsumsätze

sales turnover

Given that an "Ausgangsrechnung" is a sales invoice (Schäfer), how about using *sales turnover*... because that's what it is. VAT is due on any sales (turnover) realized during the Voranmeldungszeitraum in question.

initial sales figures (on which the tax is based)

Not, I think, the "final" figures - those would be nett, I'm sure...
Peer comment(s):

disagree muitoprazer (X) : nothing to indicate initial, net valuation wouldn't apply until final amount resolved anyway.

Hey, hey... "Ausgang" is the "initial" bit...the figures on which you start work; your posting says "final" - which it certainly isn't...unless you have a further explanation?

sales figures on outgoing products

according to a forum on this particular subject, the differentiation is between taxable income on outgoing sales (Ausgangsumsaetze) and taxes paid for items purchased (eingangsumsatz).

if initial then why not use Eintritt/Eingang ?the relevant tax must comply with given expiry dates within which delivery must have been completed.provision is also made that the business/entrepreneur must comply with with any special pretax provisions already made.the whole implies past tense=just don't see how initial fits here.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Ulrike Kraemer : "Ausgangsumsatz" is no more than the turnover realized by selling goods or services. Vorsteuer is not a pre-tax but a VAT on incoming invoices that can be deducted from the VAT charged on sales invoices.
