English term

It is God who brought you.

English to Russian Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
This is a phrase found in a Romani Gypsy book. It is in reference to my Aunt's adopted daughter, who is a Russian Romani Gypsy. To my Aunt, the phrase means that even though her daughter was not naturally born to her, they were meant to be together.

I would like to have it translated into Russian and Romani, using the native alphabets for both languages (not the English alphabet).

Ты мне дарована богом (богоданная дочь)

I would translate this sentence into Russian this way, because it is rather popular expression and it is going without saying:-)) Literally means: gift from God.

Hope this helps! I do not know Romanian language.

agree Galina F : в принципе, да. Можно было и так: "Это Бог привел тебя ко мне". хотя "даровал" лучше, Вы правы.

agree Ekaterina Guerbek : "Бог" лучше с заглавной буквы, теперь по-русски снова так пишут, как и до революции.
