Context:
Pour pouvoir obtenir la clavette selon un tel procédé de fabrication, on prévoit, comme visible notamment sur la figure 6, que la clavette 7 définit un plan de joint P7, qui traverse la came d’appui 71, l’extrémité d’appui 72, et de préférence, la tête d’actionnement 74 et l’extrémité distale 73, lesquelles sont en dépouille de part et d’autre du plan de joint P7. Sur la figure 3, la coupe est effectuée selon le plan P7, alors confondu avec le plan II. Les axes X71 et X72 sont compris dans le plan P7. De part et d’autre de ce plan de joint P7, on prévoit même que toutes les parties de la clavette 7 sont en dépouille, notamment la came 71, l’extrémité 72, l’extrémité 73 et la tête 74. Autrement dit, aucune face de la clavette 7 n’est en contre dépouille vis-à-vis du plan P7.

Translated as: In order to obtain the key using such a manufacturing process, it is envisaged, as can be seen in particular in Figure 6, that the key 7 defines a parting line P7, which traverses the bearing cam 71, the support end 72, and preferably the actuator head 74 and the distal end 73, which are undercut on either side of the parting line P7. In Figure 3, the section is taken along plane P7, which is then coincident with plane II. Axes X71 and X72 lie within plane P7. On either side of this parting plane P7, all parts of key 7 are evenly undercut, in particular cam 71, end 72, end 73 and head 74. In other words, no face of key 7 is undercut with respect to plane P7. either undercut or tapered.

The drawings which I am not allowed to share do not help very much.
The reference P7 also changes from a "parting line" into "plane", again not helpful.

Asker: Thanks for the offer of the 9 volumes in your will. Methinks that I am probably older than you, in fact it might be a race to see who becomes a dépouille first. Tapered to facilitate ejection from the mold makes more sense than undercut.
