Italian term or phrase: FR
From a clinical log of a preterm baby, this abbreviation appears in various instances:
"...in fototerapia radiante, bilirubina totale: 8.3, HT: 65%, pratica emogasanalisi (vedi FR);
...Episodio ristagno biliare, sospende poppata, pratica emotes (vedi FR)..."

I know FR generally stands for Frequenza respiratoria, does it fit in this context as well?

Thanks in advance!

kidney function

Explanation:
FR = funzione renale (see also Acromed)

I wonder if it could be kidney function. Both instances of the acronym occur after blood tests which do not give a patient's respiratory rate, although of course the physician could be referring to a separate clinical document.

"Renal dysfunction occurs in patients with biliary obstruction. Plasma accumulation of bile acids and oxidative stress have been proposed as contributory factors."
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9353865/

"Why is a blood gas test done?
A blood gas test provides a precise measurement of the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in your body. This can help your doctor determine how well your lungs and kidneys are working."
