neutral  Tony M: I really don't think it's 'electronics' here, but rather 'electronic (music)'; and I think Asker needs to render 'dans' here as 'within' — perhaps almost 'ensnared within the net of ...'

  -> "Music" is redundant - it's obvious from the context. It's like saying "strings" or "brass". And I don't believe "dans" means "within" - they're talking about things being transformed into other things.

tightly woven electronic sounds / or (Intricately-woven...)

Explanation:
I think this is rhetorical in order to convey the emotiveness of the music , while it could be suggesting some sort of contemporary sound, or at least alluding to contemporary technology.

"Electronic" may be better used as an adjective or something, to cover the differences in our language usage, especially between nouns.

The sample here also shows use of "Intricately-woven....", which is similar in idea.

Example sentence(s):
  • "Just when the whole thing is about to float off untethered into the ether, though, come gentle rolls of surf guitar and sudden sweeps of strings that keep things grounded in a wall of INTRICATELY-WOVEN ELECTRONIC SOUNDS."
  • "Considering the parameters of their configuration these three improvisors construct an impressive body of TIGHTLY WOVEN SOUNDS. "

neutral  Tony M: Adding 'tightly-woven' or 'intricately' is over-interpretation — the source text makes no comment about the nature of this 'maille'. Of course, if you look, you can find almost ANY collocation — that doesn't mean it is appropriate HERE!

  -> My answer was based on the definition of stitched or linked into a mesh. There are definitions to be found that use this adjective.//Of course not, but from T descrip. of T music & polyphonic sounds, it had potential, but was only an alternative in case.
