Work performed includes:
Site visits, pipeline route study and identifying best route option ,preparation of pipeline design calculations for wall thickness, ,hydro test, equivalent stress, road crossings, upheaval buckling, bending, preparation of data sheets, material requisition and technical bid evaluation for line pipe, barred tee and isolation joints, review and approval of route map, alignment sheets, MTO, stress analysis reports, crossing drawings as per specification

Upheaval Buckling...
refers to the phenomenon that occurs when trenched pipelines are subjected to axial compression forces as a result of high temperature and pressure. The pipeline experiences a large ***vertical displacement*** and push up through the soil cover, leaving the pipeline exposes to impact from anchors or trawlboards. Excessive bending is another failure mode.
