German term

Revierklub

German to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation Soccer
The line reads: Der Saisonvergleich Schalke gegen Stuttgart, bei dem der Revierklub die Nase knapp vorne hat. Would this translate as "home club"? Any expert out there who can help? Thanks.

Revier means Ruhrgebiet in this context. Schalke, Duisburg and Bochum are all Revierklubs, as are the unmentionables from down the road... ;)

There were once 13 pits in GE, now there are none. A lot of the sites are now being reclaimed for other purposes.
agree Francis Lee (X) : Exactly.

agree Cilian O'Tuama : though the big three don't include Duisburg

Your're right, I forgot SV Erle 08.. ;)
agree Ingo Dierkschnieder : As the unmentionables are based in Lüdenscheid, you could question if they really are a "Revierklub".
