Staatsexamen este examenul final care se da la sfarsitul anilor de studiu, deci corespunde examenului de licenta.Completare:In domeniul medical se intalneste si termenul de ,,Examen'' sau ,, examinierte Krankenschwester'', adica persoana care si-a dat examenul final si are dreptul sa profeseze meseria respectiva.
Pentru profesori exista alti termeni:,,die erste Staatsprüfung''adica examenul de licenta si ,,die zweite Staatsprüfung'', adica examenul de definitivat care se da doi ani mai tarziu.
