PWN-OXford podaje, że "proctor" jest odpowiedzilany za dyscyplinę (w Oksfordzie i Cambridge: http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/offices/proctors/ lub http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/proctors/ ).

W Trinity College Proctor uczestniczy w ceremonii rozdania dyplomów. Patrz statut uczelni. str. 19:
"The Proctors
12. It shall be the duty of the Proctors to supplicate the Senate for Degrees, and to take care that no one is presented for a Degree unless he is duly qualified and has paid to the proper officers all Fees or other moneys due to the College." Services in respect of awards and award ceremonies are provided by the Student and Graduate Records Office, located in the foyer of Regent House, via Front Gate, Trinity College. Its main functions are as follows:
Scheduling of candidates for all University and College award ceremonies
Management and conduct of Commencements ceremonies.
Management and conduct of Diploma & Certificate Award ceremonies.
Issue of Diploma Supplement.

Kwestia absolwentów rozwiązana jest różnie. Czasem jest to Biuro ds. Absolwentów (http://www.sgh.waw.pl/ogolnouczelniane/ba/), klub lub portal abslowenta ( http://www.uw.edu.pl/absolwent/ lub http://absolwenci.amu.edu.pl/) czasem dziekanat (http://www.wiz.pwr.wroc.pl/dziekanat,1.dhtml).

Wydaje się, że obsługą administracyjną inauguracji roku akademickiego i uroczystości wręczenia dyplomów zajmują się dziekanty lub biura spraw studenckich - w zależności od uniwersytetu.
