I read the Wikipedia entry under physalis - " A notable feature is the formation of a large papery husk derived from the calyx, which partly or fully encloses the fruit.[3]" The phrase "derived from the calyx" led me to look further. I found "induvial calyx in Langenscheidt ENG-DEU.
