forced main canalisation principale à flux forcé Explanation: I'm guessing we are talking effluent here? 'forced' here means that the effluent being carried is in some way 'pumped', as distinct from the simple 'gravity' flow mentioned next. Although 'forcé' sounds like a dreadful calque of the EN (and maybe it is!), I have found it used in a similar way, albeit in a slightly different context. At any rate, I think it could be a worthwhile avenue for further research. |
