Hi All, I wonder if anyone had any experience with saving Hindi translation files in ANSI format using Notepad or similar text editor.
Any suggestions/experiences would be welcomed.

You need to use UTF-8 encoding
Mar 1, 2009
In order to save the file that contains Hindi characters , you need to encode it (the file) in UTF-8. ANSI mainly contain western characters. For example, I work in Hebrew - another language that requires you to encode the files in UTF-8 - working on ANSI encoded file with Hebrew fonts will result in the Hebrew being displayed as gibberish.
