Spanish term

esquema de fuerzas

Spanish to English Social Sciences Anthropology
Hi everyone,

I am currently working on a text about the role of craftsmanship and artisan practices in modern society. Is anyone able to help me with the term 'esquema de fuerzas'?

ST: ¿Cuál es el lugar que ocupa la artesanía ante este nuevo esquema de fuerzas que antepone el conocimiento de lo nuevo y promueve la digitalización y la desmaterialización de la cultura?

TT: My attempt: What place does craftsmanship occupy in the face of this new ???, which places a priority on knowledge of the latest developments and promotes the digitalisation and the dematerialisation of culture?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Jack

Does the preceding text... ...reference "este nuevo esquema de fuerzas"? If so, it might be helpful to post it.

balance of forces

It's a "force diagram" in Physics but is used figuratively here. "Balance of Power" might be possible but seems a bit strong to me.

agree Simon Bruni : or possibly 'hierarchy of forces'?

Balance of forces should be alright, but I sense some sort of a struggle in what is meant.

'balance of forces' is too literal; 'balance of power' is a known phrase, and gives the right sense within the context, I think.
