Hi,
sorry, unfortunately, I don't speak any Russian.
For me this still seems to be the best place for my question.....I hope I'm correct.
I want to transfer a small amount ~50€ to a person in Russia via Moneybookers.
How can the person in Russia withdraw the money?
I asked the customer service of Moneybookers via telephone, but they couldn't answer in detail.

How can the person in Russia withdraw the money?
I asked the customer service of Moneybookers via telephone, but they couldn't answer in detail.
(The basic working is clear to me, I use Paypal for ebay-transactions in Europe and US regurlarly.)
The problem: When one registers an account with Moneybookers, one is asked to select a currency. So a person in Russia would choose Rubels - but there are no Rubels to select!
Assuming he chooses EUR or USD for his Moneybookers account, how does the transfer to the Russian bank work - and most importantly: does the Russian bank charge fees for transfering a foreign currency payment (Moneybookers would send EUR) - and if yes, how much? (The Russian person has no credit card)
Perhaps I misunderstand something - can a Russian Moneybookers user give a short explanation?

First of all, the person receiving the money in Russia must have a bank account in USD (if she/he does not have have a credit card). Moneybookers make transfers only in USD, even if you are sending it in EUROs. That's why Roubles are not listed as an option. MB charge the sender about $2.50 for the transfer, but the payee is not charged anything.
However, there are other things to consider. If it is a payment for a job, the transfer must go into the business account of the payee and he/sh... I can't say anything about payment into private accounts, because I receive payments from my clients into my MB business account where I am registered as a trader and then transfer the money into my business account in Russia.
If it is a one-off consider using Western Union instead which will cost you about the same and is much less hassle for the recipient. ▲ Collapse

For me in Germany Moneybookers registration and transfer of money basically works the same as for Paypal. Only a normal bank account is needed.
I had the impression that it would be as easy for a person in Russia.
But I don't think USD-bank account are the rule for Russian people...

It's as quick and easy to open a private USD account as a RUB one. No problem withdrawing funds from MB to this account.

In my case the recipient will not receive any USD payments regularly - so USD account is not an option - and as a student has no credit card.
For Business Moneybookers seems to be a fine choice - as you can assume credit card ownership and/or USD-accounts.
In my case I want to rule out any troubles and fees for the recipient; so I think Unistream will be the cheapest option. I considered normal Bank transfer, but my German B... See more Thanks for your answer Mr Shein!

Unistream is a good option. Still, I'd like to add that opening a private USD account costs nothing (at least, it's the case with my bank). Another benefit is the possibility to use this association (MB+USD account) in the future, whenever it may become necessary. Therefore, it's worth considering.
