¡Hola a todos/as!
Os comunico que ¡la página de la 3ª Conferencia de Proz en España ya está lista! La conferencia tendrá lugar en Barcelona los días 13 y 14 de noviembre.

Os comunico que ¡la página de la 3ª Conferencia de Proz en España ya está lista! La conferencia tendrá lugar en Barcelona los días 13 y 14 de noviembre.

Este año hemos querido hacer una conferencia práctica que nos sirva a todos, tanto a los traductores experimentados como a los que empiezan. Creemos que hay que reciclarse constantemente, sobre todo en estos momentos de crisis económica que tanto afecta a los autónomos.
Queremos que sea práctica y que haya muchos momentos sociales de "networking" para que podamos conocernos e intercambiar ideas, experiencias, conocimientos y todo lo que nos apetezca. Este año hemos querido incluir la cena del sábado en el precio de la conferencia.
Os invito a todos a que deis vuestras opiniones y comentarios para que esta tercera conferencia sea todo un éxito.
Os espero a todos en Barcelona en noviembre y quedo a vuestra disposición para todo aquello que podáis necesitar.
Quiero pedir perdón por no tener todavía lista la versión catalana, pero prometo que la semana que viene estará ya en la página. No hemos tenido ninguna propuesta de ponencias en catalán, pero estamos abiertos a que haya alguna, así que si hay alguna propuesta, será bienvenida.

Any plans for a pre-conference powwow or an "after party"?
I would not like to miss anything but do not want to arrive way too early and leave long after the end of the conference either...
Early birds have more choice/availability (and rates are better) for accommodation and plane tickets.

There is a powwow on Friday afternoon/evening. We are inviting 50 people to a guided tour of the World Press Photo exhibition on the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona (CCCB). After that, we will be having drinks at the MACBA (Art museum) that has a beautiful bar.
We will be having dinner on Saturday night, included in the conference price.

There is a powwow on Friday afternoon/evening. We are inviting 50 people to a guided tour of the World Press Photo exhibition on the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona (CCCB). After that, we will be having drinks at the MACBA (Art museum) that has a beautiful bar.
We will be having dinner on Saturday night, included in the conference price.
And probably, there will be a closing powwow on Sunday afternoon/evening after the Round table, though not too late since there will be people leaving that same night.
If you need help with accommodation, let me know. We have good prices at the Hotel Conference and at two other hotels from the same chain.
I hope you do understand Spanish. There will be a couple of talks in English, but all the others will be in Spanish.

I should have no trouble finding accommodation, thank you, and now I have an idea about when to fly!
Wondering... Is the programme complete? Are there many confirmed registrations? I see only 3 people registered so far for different sessions... Plus speakers and organisers of course

The programme is now complete. There has been a couple of changes and we've added a new talk from Anne Diamantidis who works at ProZ.com and will be talking about how to Boost your use of ProZ.com.
Everything else should stay the same.
Dinner on Saturday I guess will be around 20:30-21:00 and so there are 3 hours between the end of the conference on Saturday and the Networking dinner. We can alsways do something there or just let people rest a bit. We will see!!

Estoy apuntada para la Conferencia, y seguramente llegue el viernes y me gustaría asistir a la invitación a la Exposición.
Como iré sola, creo que estaría bien tener un contacto previo con otras personas que vayan a asistir, que sería bueno tener cierto contacto o conocimiento previo antes de ir!

Ningún problema en el tema de la expo. Hay tiempo y sitio para casi todos, pero te apunto como interesada. Cuando se acerque el día os mandaremos la información acerca del evento, la hora, cómo llegar, etc. Pero como bien dices, se trata de un buen momento para empezar a conocerse y familiarizarse con las caras que vas a ver durante dos días enteros!

Todavía no he reservado el hotel, pero en principio todas las instrucciones parecen claras así que no creo que haya ningún problema.
