The previous London powwow was in May, so I thought it's time for another one. I checked at the venue (King & Queen pub) a few days ago and we can have the upstairs room on Saturday 16th of November.
For those who would prefer a Sunday: this pub is not available on Sundays and I don't know of a suitable venue that is available on Sundays at little or no cost. For those who would prefer a Sunday: this pub is not available on Sundays and I don't know of a suitable venue that is available on Sundays at little or no cost. In this case, the cost to us is 1 GBP per person, which the landlord donates to a charity, usually Macmillan Cancer Care because his wife was well cared for by them.
The page for this powwow is here: http://www.proz.com/powwow/4937
Most of the time is for "networking" and, as in a couple of previous powwows, I intend to hold a discussion session, which is a little more formal than just walking around and chatting. I ask everybody to sit down, and I invite somebody to ask a question, which the others can then reply to or discuss. We then move on to another question, and so on until I think we've had enough. When I first held a powwow of this type about 2 years ago, I thought the Q&A session would last about half an hour but in fact the questions and answers continued for about an hour, so I expect something similar this time.
The Language Showhttp://www.olympia.co.uk/whatson/language-show-live is at Olympia (no, London, not Greece!) this weekend - perhaps somebody would like to come to the powwow and tell us about what interested them at the show.
To judge from previous experience, there will be at least 10 Prozians at this powwow, perhaps more than 20.
