Where can I find volunteer medical translation?

Hello! I am fairly new in the translation career but experienced in the medical/healthcare field. I've been trying to contact agencies and other websites to start building my portfolio, but I can't seem to be able to find anything that helps me do so. Most of them say I need an extensive experience in order to even put me up for a translation test.

Any ideas of where I could get started?
