"municipal courts, justice courts, and police courts " need of explanation

Hi everyone,

I need some explanations about those 3 courts , in French that would be great.
As for me all those terms disigned the same notion : cour de Justice/Tribunal de Police

This might sound stupid but the french judiciary systems is really different from the american one.

I found quite the same answers between internet and the Black's Law dictionnary.
It does not seem to exist any specific translation as those courts do not have equilavent in France.

En première instance, chaque Etat s'est doté de tribunaux inférieurs (tribunaux de comtés, juridictions municipales, tribunaux de petite instance, de simple police...) et de Trial Courts, cours de juridiction générale (tribunaux d'Etats, de comtés, de districts...) qui se répartissent les affaires suivant leur importance.

I think that the website of the French Senat is accurate it would be: Juridictions municipales, tribunaux de petite instance, tribunaux de simples police.
