OPI Medical Interpreting Rates

Hi everybody,

I was offered USD 0.08 per minute of interpretation at a company and, since it's my first time, I am not sure whether it's a low or average, so all insights are welcomed.

Very low rate Feb 28

Hi Giuliana,

I work with one company that pays $0.20 per minute, which is already quite low, but they have good volume of calls coming in and pay every fortnight. I'm in the process of starting with another one that pays $0.25, better, but still low. Some companies pay $0.35 or $0.40 per minute, but usually they require more experience (2+ years with OPI/VRI).

I would not work with any company that offers such a low rate of $0.08 per minute. I find it very insulting. OP... See more
