Bio
I’m a talkative extrovert who likes being around people, yet I work now as a freelance translator for two dubbing studios, so I can handle monotony as well.
I got my master’s degree in Translating and Interpreting at the University of Szeged this July. My specialisation was interpreting, therefore during my studies I interpreted as much as I could, because I wanted to try all the aspects and types of interpreting and to improve my skills.
During my first year I interpreted at the WAKO Kickbox Championship in Budapest and at the Italian Cultural Institute also in Budapest as the liaison interpreter of an Italian actress, Sarah Maestri. I had the opportunity to try community interpreting at the Department of Paediatrics and at the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Szeged, which was a challenging task, given the fact that it was a delicate matter. An Italian family needed help, so the honorary consul asked me to handle this family’s case. I wasn’t just their interpreter, I helped them also with the administration. During my senior year, I won a tender, so I got the opportunity to travel to Brussels and visit the European Parliament, which was a lifechanging experience. I could try simultaneous interpreting practicing it in a dummy booth during the plenary sessions and committee meetings.
Currently I work as a freelance translator for three dubbing studios. My main role is dubbing dramaturge, but I translate also voiceovers and write subtitles for series and movies.
