I was born and brought up in Spain and I am now living in the UK.
I did my graduate and post-graduate studies in London:
BA (Hons) in French with English
MA in Bilingual Translation (English-Spanish)
I went onto work as an in-house Spanish translator for two years and later, in 2006, became a freelance translator.
In 2011, I passed the UK Level 6 public services interpreting exam DPSI English Law-Spanish (with a distinction), and since then I have been both translating and interpreting in various settings.
As an interpreter I have worked in various settings and done related translations (Medical, Law, Housing, etc.) and as a translator I have also done a fair amount of Marketing translation (press releases, newsletters, product pages, website sections, banners, etc.). I have used Trados Freelance 2006 a lot, and I am now using SDL Trados Studio 2011. I used CAT tools regularly. I also have other various resources (printed and electronic). I have a number of hobbies that I suppose are relevant to potential future translations: I enjoy rambling, cinema and joinery. |
