My work experience started during my military service in Israel. When I was twenty years old I was chosen to join the officer course of commanding and training, in the educational division of the army. During this period we received classes and practical experience in presentation skills, conducting classes, guiding and mentoring personnel, and increasing our leadership skills while having important responsibilities as commanders and officers. In the two years that followed the completion of the course (graduated with honors) I coordinated different training courses varying from one to four months, using the skills I acquired during the officer course.
While doing my army service as an officer I understood the importance of people collaborating together in order to reach a certain goal. In this period I built my communication skills and the ability to think as a leader, as a manager. I found out that I am good in it and after successfully finishing my service, I was sure I have to use these communication skills and personal qualities to the fullest.
After my army service I worked as a flight attendant in the Israeli Airline Company, EL-AL. In this job I had the chance to be the face of the company in front of the costumers and to understand the interaction between the service provider and its clients. Between the flights I visited many places, as I like to travel and explore cultures.
Integrating the coordination and presentation skills I acquired in the army to the civil world I decided to follow a Bachelor in International Communication Management. During the degree I directed my personal skills to the fields of marketing, public relations and issue solving. Continuing to a Master degree in Organization and Management was a natural decision as I am interested in the political, economical, environmental and social dynamics that influence businesses and shape them internally and externally. My thesis specialization is transnational entrepreneurship and the meaning of it is focusing on small-medium businesses in transnational environment and settings. Receiving the Huygens Scholarship for Excellent Students from the Dutch Ministry of Education was a reward for my academic achievements in the last 4 years.
Working in ING as a communication coordinator, I made sure to execute projects on the highest level, while keeping the deadlines. I often used presentation skills, as people understand better the point a person tries to convey if they connect to his/her way of talking and communicating. Team collaborating was a must to achieve the necessary goals and to make sure that the traders and bankers in our department will receive the necessary assistant in order to sign deals and to expand the services of our sector.
I like sports (tennis, running), traveling (walking trips and sight seeing), reading and music (piano player and choir singer). |
