| Hi Cecilia, To me this is the most informative bit here: <i>"Se toman fotografías macroscópicas. I.P."</i> As you say, fotografías (de la) "immunoperoxidasa" does not make much sense. Fotografías macroscópicas "de la inclusión parcial" does not seem to work here either (I believe). Maybe (fotografías macroscópicas) "de las inclusiones parciales"?. Not sure about this. That is why a reference to the professional involved seems (to me) more likely. In Spain, a personal acronym would more naturally involve three and not two letters, which is the reason why I tend to think IP/IT might inform about pathologist vs. technician, for example. But as you say, acronyms in this context are used in a rather original way, so it is only the specific original context which might help dilucidate the particular meaning of the acronyms. |
