river landscape

It is a river landscape, but if you want to convey the uniqueness to a higher degree, perhaps you could add the geographical location or "Northern Swedish" or something like that.

Thank you!
disagree Katarina Lindve : landscape does not do the trick here I think

I see what you mean by scenery, but landscape is also used in this context.
agree asptech : Basically correct, but I wonder if "scenery" wouldn't convey the writer's intentions better than "landscape".

You may well be right. Although landscape is also used for this purpose.
agree Anna Herbst : River landscape sounds just right.

Nordic river scenery

The difference between any river "flod, å" and an "älv" is the wildness associated with the Swedish word "älv". This therefore has to be translated with a word that describes this scenic wildness. river scenery with the addition of Nordic on this context would do the trick. wild scenery is used for "vilt landskap in Norstedts for example.
Example sentence:

winter river scenery from Lapland

Peer comment(s):

neutral Sven Petersson : "Scenery" is good, but "Nordic" is not. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_countries for definition!

agree Fredrik Nowacki : Since "älv" in my knowledge, very specifically connotes a Scandinavian (or even Swedish?) type of river, I think the translaton should reflect that somehow.
