Thanks TechLawDC. In my translation howerever, the phrase was used for 'quinto de terreno' en parcela xx etc so parcel or plot seemed wrong. Thanks a lot anyway.

"portion of land" is incorrect in this context. Google hits are misleading because the Google contexts are 100% different.
