2. Although the terms listed in your text are commonly used in the hospitality industry, different establishments use them differently. In most situations, they are considered synonymous: one establishment prefers one term, the other prefers another. But in this context, they are clearly meant to be different. Therefore, it is necessary, before attempting to translate them, to grasp how they are differentiated. Are they differentiated by function? If so, in what way? Or are they just differentiated by pay grade, for instance? Without this information, translation will be an act of blind flying with no instruments. Ask your client/agency for clarification.
