Government / Politics
This is the name of a public office in Argentina.
Thanks

National Oversight Directorate/Bureau OR: National Bureau of Inspection
In your context, given the definition, I believe that "Fiscalización" refers to inspection and oversight, not taxation.

National Overseeing Bureau
¡Saludos!

National Supervision/Inspection Directorate
we can really suggest anything plausible here as somebody has to translate these newly created bodies into an acceptable form for the English-speaking community

that being said, "fiscalización" is a buzz word in Argentina and has nothing to do with taxes and a lot to do with supervision/inspection/checking/control (somebody came up with this over the last few years and now it appears on road signs and you name it)

personally I can't stand the term in this context ...

National (Employment) Standards Agency
If this is what it appears to be looking at the link below:
http://www.trabajo.gob.ar/inspeccion/metodologia/
then it appears to be a standards enforcement agency.
I'd say "employment standards agency/bureau/office" conveys the fact that it is an office actively looking to inspect and check whether employer's are complying with standards regarding the workplace, hiring and welfare contributions.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Employment_Standards_Administr...
Of course, if this is not the case, and you don't know what function it has, then the other options above are probably more suitable given their neutrality.

I'm not sure. I haven't researched it enough and the answerers above seem to think it has nothing to do with taxation. Thank you, Gallagy. Happy New Year!

: Hi Helena. You were wise to be cautious. "National Tax Directorate" is AFIP's own translation of Dirección General Impositiva. Happy New Year!
