Bio

I am a native speaker of Czech with a professional level of English and more than 15 years of experience with both general and specialised translations from English to Czech.

After graduating from University of Ostrava (Master’s degree in Institutional Care for Children and Youth) in 2004 I went on to study English to obtain the Certificate of Proficiency in English. At the same time, I started teaching English as a foreign language. Soon after passing the CPE I began looking for translating opportunities. To fully qualify as an upper-secondary English teacher I took up a 3-year course in English Language and Literature at University of Ostrava.

In 2013 I moved to London where I worked as a Business Analyst for 2 years while preparing for the Diploma in Translation exam. I am now a fully qualified translator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
