Este artigo tem por objetivo fortalecer a necessidade do estudo lexicográfico dos termos jurídicos, especialmente na comparação de dicionários jurídicos, tão necessários para o exercício da nobre função do tradutor. A tentativa de transpor a dificuldade, existente no senso comum, no estudo dos dicionários e da lexicografia, é �€œtransportada�€� para os dicionários jurídicos. Durante a vida profissional dos que atuam ligados à área jurídica, principalmente os tradutores, surgem dúvidas quando da utilização correta desses termos e expressões. Para auxiliá-los nessa tarefa, lança-se mão dos dicionários jurídicos, que tentam esclarecer a complexidade de muitos deles, tão peculiares à área.
