Want to know more about Translators4Kids? Oct 13, 2005

Last December, a charitable idea involving us translators crossed my mind and I posted this idea at http://www.proz.com/topic/27354. Because the feedback was tremendous, Henry gave us a forum of our own at http://www.proz.com/forum/98 and we also were given a private forum.

Last December, a charitable idea involving us translators crossed my mind and I posted this idea at http://www.proz.com/topic/27354. Because the feedback was tremendous, Henry gave us a forum of our own at http://www.proz.com/forum/98 and we also were given a private forum.

Since last December, many wonderful things have happened: Translators from around the globe united to help disadvantaged children all over the world by using our unique skills as ambassadors of the word. We founded our own non-profit organization. We were able to attract wonderful sponsors and partners. We have a regular internal newsletter. And a website at http://www.translators4kids.com (although there are still some minor things and bugs we need to change, so please bear with us). And many other things. What we do need is more volunteers, of course.

I hope this is sufficient for a short introduction. I'd be happy to answer any questions!

Kind regards
Marion

I would like to help Oct 13, 2005

Hi Marion
As we don't have any kids of our own (and so far we can't, we're in the middle of an adoption proccess) I always try to help organisations dealing with children. So far I'm involved with Unicef and the Luis Figo Foundation.

I would gladly help too, but I need you to tell me how.

:):)

Wrong Link Oct 13, 2005

The link mentioned in Marion's posting it wrong. It should be

http://www.translators4kids.com, not translators5kids.

We are happy about every single helping hand but would of course be even more happy if some of you would be willing to take over a certain amount of responsibility.

To become a participant, simply download the questionnaire: www.copywriting.de/Yourname_YourProZ-ID.doc, fill it out, then send it back to me at [email protected]

We are currently finalizing our membership form and will send it out to all participants soon.

(Thanks for pointing out the wrong link to me, Sonja!)

Dear Marion

I will do that and fill the questionnaire, sorry for not being today, but I'm overloaded... but I will take some time during the weekend for that.

Dear Marion,

We've been in contact almost two months ago and I was to fill out the form and to return it to you... But, the business and the kid and all other things just got in the way! Sorry...

I will fill it out and send to you very soon!

Anyhow, the idea is great and I am looking forward to participating with all the assistance I can give!

Dusica
