Very, very occasionally a translator colleague might offer me the odd job that they themselves aren't interested in for one reason or another. But off the top of my head, I don't remember the last time that happened.

... I have at least two long-term customer relationships where the matchmaker was a colleague, and I've been doing the same over the years. (No "kickback" payments - this is not the construction industry.)

I have been occasionally recommended by colleagues (mostly Prozians) and one of these jobs was enough to keep me busy for some time…

I don't think this has happened once in 16 years.

Here and there project managers leave one company and "take me with them," but that doesn't happen much either.

I do get a lot of work from collegues, but I doubt it would exceed 20% of my total.
